The Circle Way provides essential foundation for collaboration and conversation, for thoughtful speaking and attentive listening. It is a way to tap our greatest strengths, individually and together. It is a needed space to take on so much of what is escalating and what we are waking up to. It moves us forward by bringing us back to the centre of what we already know.

In this online class we will explore the components of circle as a way to create an environment for being and working together that is authentic, intentional and productive.

The principles and practices of The Circle Way encourage genuine contribution and creativity, and through the classes we will grow our circle hosting capacity, with extra attention to hosting circle online.

The team

Melinda Varfi - Hungary - Melinda believes in the power of communities and is passionate about helping them grow to contribute towards a sustainable society. Having worked in different sectors – from education to trade development – she has found that the closest topic to her heart is sustainability. She has co-foundedImpact Hub Budapest, a global community based coworking office. She enjoys engaging with people in meaningful conversations about their environment and enabling them to recognise their own true power to make steps towards a more sustainable world. In the last 7 years she has been facilitating and designing such dialogues and processes with participatory methods such as Art of Hosting and Theory U.

Amanda Fenton - Canada - Amanda worked in the co-operative sector for nearly seventeen years including HR consulting, leadership and organizational development, change projects, and collaborative strategic planning processes. She is a host and teacher of The Circle Way and the Art of Hosting and designs participatory gatherings using circle-based methods such as The Circle Way, Open Space Technology, World Cafe, Collective Story Harvest and others to host and harvest conversations for thoughtful change. Based in Vancouver, BC, Canada, she teaches and works, locally and globally with non-profits, churches, schools, communities, and other organizations and networks. She has a passion for integrating online collaborative tools and practices to support working in an increasingly networked world, and has been teaching The Circle Way online for several years (which is proving particularly useful these days).
